Over 90 years ago, Cream of the West was a small operation in eastern Montana that milled, blended, and roasted the highest quality grains grown anywhere in the world to make old-fashioned, whole-grain, hot breakfast cerealthe kind that farmers and ranchers ate early each morning. Today, these carefully selected grains, grown on the plains of Montana, are still the heart of Cream of the West products served on today’s breakfast tables everywhere.
In 2001, eight Montana farmers and ranchers began searching for a business that would breathe life and bring new jobs into their small, rural town in the shadow of the Crazy Mountains. They purchased Cream of the West and moved it to their community, Harlowton, Montana, where they had built a manufacturing plant to blend and roast the grains produced by area farmers.
Cream of the West 100% whole grain products are good for the community and for consumers. Experts agree that the magic of whole grainscoupled with a healthy lifestylepromotes good health by reducing high blood pressure and weight, as well as by lowering incidences of diabetes, coronary heart disease and certain cancers.
